The editors of RIVER TEETH invite submissions of creative nonfiction,
including narrative reportage, essays and memoir, as well as critical
essays that examine the emerging genre and that explore the impact of
nonfiction narrative on the lives of its writers, subjects, and
readers. Critical articles should conform to the current Modern
Language Association (MLA) guidelines. Narrative reportage may follow
the Associated Press (AP) style.
The River Teeth Literary Nonfiction Prize Series
River Teeth's editors and editorial board will conduct a yearly national contest to identify the best book-length manuscript of literary nonfiction. The winner will receive $1,000.
General Guidelines:
1. Manuscripts must be between 150-400 pages long
2. Manuscripts must be double-spaced
3. Include a title page with title only
4. Include a cover page with title and contact information
5. Include a $20 contest fee
6. Deadline is March 1
