The Pittsburgh Quarterly is a small press literary magazine that grew out of the community writing workshop movement. We present work from new and established writers without emphasis on region, ideology, or style. The works are contemporary, the poetry is usually not formal, ideas and opinions and varied styles are given space.
SubmissionsWriters should note we ask that you specify whether admissions are being sent for the print issue, the on-line issue, or either. We anticipate that the on-line magazine will open up space for more and different material, for more timely commentary and nonfiction work, and other types of writing that we haven't been able to include. We welcome submissions of art work, particularly electronic art work, and photographs.
