The Dana Literary Society

" We are searching for people with something to say—fiction, non-fiction or poetry—for display in this Online Journal, and we will reward those contributors who provide it.  Our requirements are twofold: that the works be both well-crafted and thought-provoking.  Admittedly this is subjective, but a review of the pages here will give you an idea of what we consider praiseworthy.  Newly selected compositions will appear each month."

Guidelines - Submissions should be clearly legible, preferably typed, either single or double-spaced, and include your name, mailing address, and e-mail address on the first page.  They should be snail-mailed to Dana Literary Society, P.O. Box 3362, Dana Point, CA 92629-8362, along with a self-addressed stamped #10 envelope.  No cover letter is required.  Each work must be the original creation of the submitter.  Both unpublished and previously published works are welcome.

You may send fiction, non-fiction and poetry in a single package, subject to the following limits in each category.

Fiction:         a single work, maximum 2,500 words
Non-fiction:  a single work, maximum 1,200 words
Poetry:          1 to 3 poems, maximum 120 lines each

Authors of works selected will receive $50.00 for fiction and $25.00 for non-fiction or poems, with payment when the display is posted to the site.  We will request your work be mailed to us on a 3½" diskette, formatted as we will advise, along with a bio at that time to be included with your work.  The display will continue for one month, and all rights will revert to the author at the completion of that period.
