The Makata (or The Poet) is a succinct monthly publication of Dalityapi Unpoemed that features all forms and styles of poetry in English and other Philippine languages.
The main purpose of the Makata is to publish on-line a diverse and creative array of works to promote the emerging poets and this publication, to broaden access and to foster appreciation for contemporary poetry.
We are currently considering Poetry submissions for inclusion. All submissions must be the original work of the author.
All submitted work implies your permission for one or several of your poems to be posted on our website on the Internet should any be selected for publication and archived on the site. Copies of the work will remain archived on the website indefinitely.
Submissions accepted only in the body of the e-mail (no attachments accepted to avoid compatibility and software problems, they will not be opened or replied to, just copy and paste it into your e-mail.)
Please only submit an example of poetry, up to 5 only
Maximum length for poetry is 40 excluding title
Simultaneous submissions are acceptable but please advise if accepted elsewhere
Previously published work is acceptable but provide us details of publication when submitting
No contributors copies of any printed works, or payment of any kind will be made to contributors
Contributors retain prior copyrights and upon publication rights revert to contributors
