The Instituto Sacatar is an international arts residency program that awards airfare, studio, room and board to competitively selected artists in all media and from all countries. Groups of five diverse artists stay for periods of 6-12 weeks at our beachside estate on the island of Itaparica, across the bay from the city of Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. In addition, we provide logistical support for artists who wish to get involved in some way with the local community. This page is a small part of the resources available at:
