Houston Poetry Festival Houston TX US Annual - October Houston Poetry Fest is scheduled annually during October. In addition, "Poetry Out of Bounds" readings are to be scheduled. It is an opportunity for poets of all types to meet a variety of poets, publishers, creative writing teachers, and editors, as well as to hear each other's work. Enter the competition to read as a "Juried Poet". The judges select each year's "Juried Poets," each of whom will appear onstage to read for approximately five minutes, have one poem published in the anthology, have his or her name listed in the printed program, anthology, and on the website, and will receive a complimentary copy of the Anthology.
